New 'reverse click' method of labelling DNA with fluorophores
In a paper entitled Efficient reverse click labeling of azide oligonucleotides with multiple alkynyl Cy-Dyes applied to the synthesis of HyBeacon probes for genetic analysis we describe the labelling of DNA with fluororescent dyes, using click chemistry. Unlike most of applications of click labelling, this ‘reverse’ method uses alkyne-derivatized fluorophores and azide-labeled oligonucleotides.
