DNA nanomachine creates synthetic oligomers

In a paper published in Nature Chemistry today, Andrew Turberfield’s group (Oxford Physics) shows that synthetic machinery built from DNA can be used to execute a molecular program that produces peptides or olefin oligomers with a defined sequence (in collaboration with Ben Davis (Oxford Chemistry), Rachel O’Reilly (Warwick) and Tom Brown).

PhD studentship in "Gene and Genome Synthesis in an Epigenetic Context"

An Industrial CASE DPhil (PhD) studentship in the Brown Group is available for October 2016, on “Gene and Genome Synthesis in an Epigenetic Context”. The studentship is a collaboration with ATDBio Ltd, in Oxford. Applicants should apply through the Oxford Interdisciplinary Biosciences Doctoral Training Programme. The closing date has been extended to 11th March 2016.
