Dr Nayoun Cho
Nayoun completed her undergraduate degree in Biotechnology at University College London (2010-2013). Her final year project involved structural and functional studies of adhesive pilus formation in pathogenic bacteria, under the supervision of Prof. Gabriel Waksman. Nayoun then worked at the Korean Institute of Science and Technology as a researcher (2013-2014). During this time, she studied the binding between PreQ1 RNA and polypeptides and their conformational changes by NMR spectroscopy. She joined the Brown group as a graduate student in October 2014 and her D.Phil. research focused on chemically modified DNA aptamers targeting cancer cells. She is now working for Novaptech, an aptamer company in Bordeaux, France.
