Mengzhen (Edward) obtained his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Emory University, where he studied the behaviour of particles with nucleic acid modifications in the Khalid Salaita group. Edward joined the Brown group as a PhD student in 2015. His project focus is on DNA with epigenetic modifications.
