Cameron Thorpe
Cameron completed his undergraduate degree in chemistry at the University of Southampton (2016). Under the supervision of Dr Seung Seo Lee, his final year project looked at the study of chemical ligation between ubiquitin proteins. His research in the Brown Group has focused on modified backbones within nucleic acid hybrids and development of modified RNA templates for therapeutic applications. His academic interests include chemical synthesis of modified nucleotides, central dogma processing and oligonucleotides for gene therapy.
