Dr Petr Kocalka
Petr undertook his undergraduate degree in organic chemsitry at the Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague. He then joined Ivan Rosenberg’s group at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic for his PhD on the synthesis and properties of novel pyrrolidine nucleoside, nucleotide and oligonucleotide analogues. After finishing his PhD in 2005, Petr joined Paul Nielsen’s group at the NAC-DRUG Research Center, University of Southern Denmark. Petr joined the Brown group in 2007, participating in the EU AMNA project on the use of click chemistry to assemble novel DNA constructs. Petr now works in the clinical research field for Quintiles.
